GEM Beauty Co. is the culmination of 11+ years of hard work, passion and dedication of Owner, Taylor Kline.

Taylor graduated from a Vo-Tech high school in 2010 with her Cosmetology license and high school diploma. She started working in a salon at just 16 years old and her passion continues to grow with the ever evolving industry.

In 2018 Taylor opened up a 2 chair salon suite that she out grew very quickly.

While traveling in San Francisco earlier that year Taylor saw street art that read “Every Gemstone is beautiful and unique in their own special way, no cut or color is the same” she immediately related this to hair and how she customizes the color and cut of each client. It stuck in her mind as the name of her future salon.

The next year GEM was born. GEM’s vibes were inspired by her experience living and being a colorist in NYC the years of 2015-2017, where art and self expression is everywhere you look. Taylor went through Arrojo Studio’s training program to become a colorist and knew she had to bring this business model back to Delaware. Every stylist at GEM has gone through the training program that is similar to what she went through. The program is to ensure competence in all aspects of the services we provide to our clientele. Taylor is constantly thinking of ways to expand, how to take her client experience to the next level & give her guest the best of the best. We love to offer a welcoming and personalized experience in an atmosphere that leaves you feeling beautiful inside and out.
